During my career as a psychotherapist I noticed that for most people, change does not come easily. As an expert in behavior change, I have seen how healthy lifestyle changes impact the mind-body connection in a positive way when someone is struggling with stressful life situations. This is why I trained at Duke Integrative Medicine, a leader in the field of health coaching, to become a Certified Integrative Health Coach.

In addition, I am a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, NBC-HWC. This credential represents a collaborative effort between the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching (ICHWC) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) to provide the public with evidence of expertise and quality for those health coaches who attain the certification as an NBC-HWC.

I am a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) having been trained by William Miller, Ph.D. and Stephen Rollnick, M.D. who developed the evidence-based model of Motivational Interviewing.

I have had a successful private practice, Counseling For Change, for the past 18 years in West Chester specializing in behavior change related to emotional problems including anxiety, depression, phobias, and relationship issues.

As we begin our work together, Duke Integrative Medicine’s Wheel of Health will serve as a starting point for discovering where you are now and where you would like your health to be.

Health & Wellness Coaching For Change sessions move you along the change continuum by:

  • Creating a comprehensive health vision based on what you value most.
  • Formalizing a Personal Health Plan based on what goals are important to you.
  • Exploring “Readiness to Change” rulers zeroing in on importance and confidence.
